Are you interested in pursuing larger climbs in more remote settings? Do you know how to get you and your partner efficiently and safely off the mountain when a minor lead accident occurs? How often do you find yourself acting as the group leader? Answering yes to any of these may be reason, why a self-rescue course is right for you.

We understand that self-rescue may seem complex, and many people believe "accidents" will never happen to them. Dave Webber, a wilderness EMT and Mountain Ranger on Denali states, “Remaining silent and hoping that events go in your favor is a horrible risk mitigation strategy”.

Our self-rescue course is taught the same way our private days are. We will start with a one-on-one conversation well before we reach the cliff and determine your climbing styles, future goals, areas to focus on, and learning styles. Then, we will custom plan a day of fun, and easy to understand, self-rescue drills. You never know, these skills maybe what gets you out of a “rock and a hard spot”!

Who is this for? We can customize this course for any skill level however, we recommend groups be at or near the same skill level.
