Climbing Anchors Class (Year Round)

Full Day course is 6-8 hours depending on group size.

This course is designed for individuals who want to learn to build anchors in order to top rope safely on their own! You will learn how to set up on bolted routes as well as the proper use of natural anchors. There will be focus on how and why it is important to "back up" your anchors. You will learn why "being redundant" is a climber's best friend! This course includes instruction on how to use webbing, cordellettes, carabiners, knots, & rope management.

What to bring:

  • Harness
  • Belay device
  • 6 ft & 10 ft length of webbing
  • 6 ft & 20 ft length
  • 7 mil cordelette
  • 4 locking carribiners
  • 2 non-locking caribiners
  • 30 ft length of static cord
  • Helmet

If you do not have these items you can still take the course but be aware that in order to begin setting up your own climbs in the future these are the items you will need!
